Cheese is probably one of the best things to go with most of our food. It tastes good alone and with other food. It is good and healthy for our body too. As well as being a personal favourite of mine. To add on, what do you say when you are taking a photo? “Cheese”!
However, just by placing a slice of cheese on your food does not seemed very appealing. Would it be better if it becomes a thick and tasty sauce to go with your food or your nachos when you are watching a movie?
Here is a quick guide to make cheese sauce in a few easy steps.
Firstly, you will need the ingredients:
* 120g of Cheese (Preferably Cheddar or Parmesan Cheese)
* 600ml of Milk
* 40g of Flour
* 40g of Butter
* Salt & Pepper (To add to its flavor, you can include other seasonings that you would like to add in while cooking your cheese sauce)
A little thing to note before cooking is that if the fire is not at a low heat, the sauce might start splattering everywhere so be careful about it!
Let’s start cooking!
1. Pour the milk and add the flour and butter into the pan. 2. Set the fire at a low heat and stir continuously until everything becomes liquid form and near its boiling point. 3. Turn the heat a little down and continue stirring until the liquid becomes a thick and smooth sauce. 4. Add the cheese and the salt and pepper for flavoring. 5. Continue stirring till the cheese melts and becomes part of the sauce. 6. Your cheese is ready to serve!
This cheese sauce will go great with your broccoli, pasta or nachos! Other than that, you are not restricted in the places you can pour your cheese sauce on. Remember to serve it hot so that it will taste its best.
What are the advantages of eating cheese?
Cheese is rich in calcium and protein, and other benefits that milks give us. Consuming cheese before sleeping helps you sleep better and it helps to relieve stress too as it contains tryptophan. This is opposite to the rumor that cheese gives us nightmare if we consumed it before sleeping.
It seems that cheese is filled with rich goodness and popular in many countries on Earth. No matter how tasty cheese can be, eating too much of it is not good either, just like how too much of anything is bad for the health too. Cheese contains a large portion of fat and if you do not want to add on to your weight, be careful when you find yourself munching on cheese for a long time!
